Is there anything as wonderful as a beautiful day in June?
I made it back to the States before the humidity made going outside an exercise in endurance. Have been enjoying all the good things that come with this beautiful season. Jet lag is never easy, but this might have been the the easiest recovery I’ve had. I’ve tried to spend as many evenings outside as possible, reading great books, eating peaches, and watching the fireflies greet the dusk.
I leave on July 9 for India, which I am SO EXCITED about! And very interested in seeing what God is going to do. This trip is going to be very different from every other I’ve had there. I am excited to spend more time than we have in the past at the leper colony. This is the place that, last year when we arrived, we were greeted with these words: “We were just talking about the people who used to come visit us, wondering if you would come again!”
So, like the Thailand trip where the curfew and unrest changed the appearance of the trip from the outset, this one to India will also be same same but different. And since God pretty much rocked our worlds there, I can’t wait to tumble down the rabbit hole back into the land of spice, head bobbles, and brilliant color that I love – and have missed – so much.
I want to thank all of you who have prayed, encouraged, supported, and gave financially for this last trip, and also for this one, in addition to my monthly needs. THANK YOU! The funds needed to cover Thailand came in before the deadline, and I am so thankful! Now, I need to raise $1600 to cover the cost of the flight to India by July 21.

Thank you so much!
I am including at the bottom of this post an early release version of the newest video advertising the World Race, a program for young adults going to 11 countries in 11 months. While it’s advertising the World Race – and does a great job!- I find a commonality with it even though I didn’t go on the Race… because the Story it’s telling is that of the Church spreading the Good News of Christ throughout the world. This speaks to me about following the voice of God wherever He leads… whether that’s to Angkor Wat or a specific check out line at Walmart. I hope you enjoy it!
