GREAT, WONDERFUL NEWS from our friends in Cambodia!

*From APLE Cambodia Facebook Page

This man has since been charged with abusing children and is officially off the streets!

This man is one of many, unfortunately, who abuse children in Cambodia. His case is "special" to me as it was raised as a prayer request years ago when our contacts there started gathering evidence for the reality of this man's perpetual abuse of boys. As their stories unfolded and these children began to receive help through the staff of the Hard Places Community, it has been the cry of many, many hearts throughout the world to see this particular man stopped. So waking up to this last week was beyond good news!

I have the opportunity to return to Cambodia in October! My friend Connie will lead the team there, as well as the one to Thailand. While there, I'll be able to see the Hard Places Community and its work firsthand, as well as so many other NGOs (non-governmental organizations) at the forefront of anti-trafficking work in Phnom Penh. But I have to confess, I'm the most excited about returning to HPC because its founder, Alli, is a close friend from my early days with Adventures. Since I last saw her, she adopted a little girl. I can't wait to see her, to see how her little ones are growing, and to know firsthand how God is moving in Cambodia. At the bottom of this post is a video for the HPC, explaining its mission and purpose. This is also the organization that Purchase Effect sends its proceeds back to for products from Cambodia.

Currently, I still need to raise $2600 (in addition to regular monthly support) in order to cover the flight and on-ground expenses for both the Cambodia and the Thailand trip (Oct 25-Nov. 9). I need as much as possible to come in before Oct 1, so I can purchase my ticket. The final remainder will be due closer to the trip.
