Hey, Everyone! It’s been forever since I’ve written. Please forgive me. Life has been CRAZY!

Where did I leave off? Oh, yes, the second Training Camp!

Second camp felt strangely like deja vu at first. The leaders came and I found myself thinking of the teams that had just left and all the memories we had with them. Training began, the leaders were ready, and then the students came. With only 10 fewer students than the first camp, it was a lot of people!

This time we trained and sent out Costa Rica, Haiti, Scotland, Bolivia, Philippines, Uganda, and  Mexico.

Training Camp went well… busy and full of stories of God at work. In the middle of it all, 4 of our two week trips (that we’d sent out during the first camp) came back to Atlanta! So our staff split and a few went to run the debrief while the rest stayed to run the camp.

The teams left on July 5, and with them, Don and Connie Rock, the Director and Program Coordinator for the Ambassador program, flew to Haiti for a few teams. They were able to help the team settle in and minister there. For more stories of Haiti, go to http://donrock.myadventures.org.

They returned on July 9, along with the DR team.

This weekend, 6 teams returned to Atlanta–Romania, Peru, Nicaragua, Kenya, Costa Rica, and Haiti.

Next weekend, 3 more teams return: Scotland, Bolivia, and Philippines.

The next weekend Uganda returns. And Don, Connie, and I will drive to Mexico for the final debrief. We’ll be back August 11.

WHEW! That’s a lot :0)

These past few weeks have been interesting because I’ve found myself with dual mindsets. First, thinking about the teams on the field and the ones in training. Constantly switching back and forth. When all of them were on the field, it became thinking about all the teams on the field and also starting preparing for the trips next year. Yes, we’re already working on them! To some of the locations for next year, go to http://www.adventures.org/ambassador. We’re already excited about them!

In the next few days/weeks, I’ll feature stories from our students on the field. Today I’m just going to post one blog site: http://10pp0630amb3.myadventures.org. These students are blowing me away with their writing.

 Have a great day!
